“I will not be lectured by this pig! Standing there, fondling grain!”

Well life on the farm is kinda laid back… unless you’re a work horse, a sheep, a chicken, or a pig. And they’ve had it up to their briskets with abuse, back ache, stolen eggs. It’s time to take a four-legged stand. Hatch a plan. Kick out Farmer Jones and seize his land.

But who will lead this rowdy bunch? They need a leader – a captain – a hefty hunk of ham to do this job: equal parts wit, strength and streaky bacon. Rebellion, comrades! Crack some eggs, splatter some cow patties, and paint the walls with freedom.

Animal Farm featured on the 2023 VCE Theatre Studies Playlist and is suitable for school years 9-12.
